Bird netting project Canterbury Hospital, Kent – County Bird Control
Removing and Replacing Bird Control Netting for New AC Units and Pipework Installation at Canterbury Hospital | County Bird Control
Recently, Canterbury Hospital underwent a crucial project to update part of its air conditioning plant and by removing old and damaged bird control netting.
This was necessary to facilitate the installation of new air conditioning units and pipework.
Phase 1: Removal of Old Netting
The initial phase involved the removal of the existing, deteriorated bird control netting and its components. This step was essential to ensure a clear and safe workspace for the upcoming installations.
Phase 2: Installation of New Air Conditioning Units and Pipework
With the old netting removed, the air conditioning company had unobstructed access to the area. The new units and pipework were craned over the hospital’s roof from the front.
Phase 3: Installation of New Bird Control Netting
Following the successful installation of the AC units and pipework, County Bird Control returned to the site to install new, high-quality bird control netting. The new installation featured:
- Stainless Steel Net Fixings: Ensuring durability and long-lasting performance.
- 2-Meter Zip Access: Providing easy access to the flat roof beyond the netting for maintenance and inspections.
This comprehensive approach not only modernized the hospital’s air conditioning and plumbing systems but also reinforced its bird control measures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff.
